There are amazing opportunities waiting for you in China... where things change quickly, and you will see sights that amaze and inspire you! China's ancient culture is rapidly becoming infused with a modern society, and you can be part of these changes, or you can read about them from thousands of miles away... as you wonder what it would be like to see it all first-hand. There is a huge difference between merely being a tourist... and living, working, and being part of society in a different country.

Don't wait any longer! If you meet most of the minimum requirements below, and have a sense of adventure for new challenges and experiences, please contact us at Amanda’s Education Consultancy (AEC) for a one-on-one conversation with Amanda herself! She'll take the guesswork out of securing a contract for an ESL (English as a Second Language) job with a reputable school or center in China.

For starters, let's get the basic details out of the way... here's what we need from you, to begin the process of finding your new job as soon as possible:

·   The first choices go to native English speakers. Some schools will accept non-native speakers, but the most desirable employers are going to expect at least native-level ability, and verbal proof of your ability as well.

·   You must hold a passport from an English-speaking country such as: USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa. Send a copy of the first page, to match your picture and personal information with everything else you send us.

·   A Bachelors Degree (or higher, of course) is preferred, but not always necessary. Send us a copy of the certification you've acquired from your highest level of education.

·   Your professional or academic CV or resume would be a good idea. Try not to give us something flashy, just a simple point-by-point breakdown - in chronological order - of your education/work history will suffice.

·  Teaching experience is not necessary, but it will be a factor in securing the more desirable positions that may be available. Some schools want teachers with at least 2 years of experience in China, while others require no experience at all.

·   You should be aged 25-60, in accordance with Chinese Alien Employment Laws.

·  ESL-related training and certification would be very helpful, and there are many to choose from, such as: TESOL, internationally recognized TEFL, CELTA, and other post graduate qualifications in English teaching or linguistics. A copy of your cert is all we need.

·   A recent color photo of you... again, not necessary, but certainly helpful. Some schools and training centers will not consider applicants unless they get a clear idea of what their students and paying customers will see, before they even contact you.

·       Finally, tell us which city on the mainland PRC interests you. China is a big country,  and there's a lot of fascinating cities to choose from, that vary as widely as the different aspects of Chinese culture, food, and local dialects!
·
IMPORTANT: To keep things from getting confusing, please do not send other documents or email attachments, unless we request them from you.

These are some good starting points for those of you who seek a position with an English school, ESL training center, or English based continuing education facility in China.

If you are unsure of any of these requirements, please contact me and I'll do my best to give you the answers. Be sure to have your questions organized and to the point, so I can give you the best and most relevant answers possible, please!

Sorry, but applicants without the minimum qualification requirements will NOT be considered.

Now you're probably wondering what you can expect to receive from the school or training center that decides to accept you into their organization, right. Here are a few of the basic things that MOST of them will commit to... but please remember that there are always going to be some variances, and this is by no means a complete list of details to expect. The good news is that most of the following points are standard procedure with many reputable schools and training centers:

·         Competitive salary, usually between RMB5, 000 and RMB25, 000.
·         Paid annual leave, often including 10 days + Chinese National Holidays.
·         Sponsored multi-entry Z working visa.
·         Round trip airfare stipend, after completing half of your contract.
·         Health insurance.
·         Free Chinese lessons.
·         Arrival support and pick-up, with further help upon arrival.
·         Accommodation assistance, usually in the form of paid living quarters.
·         Teacher training program, to give you a running start.
·         Professional career development opportunities.

These are just a few examples of some perks you could see after finding your new sponsor. Please contact us today, and let's get your application process underway!
